In this episode…

About one-third of our lives are spent working. To achieve optimal productivity and ensure employee satisfaction, companies must prioritize investing in resources and strategies to create a healthy work environment.

Kelly Mackin, a cognitive behavioral therapy practitioner and a quantitative researcher of human behavior, learned firsthand the impact of work overload on her mental, physical, and emotional welfare. The experience led her on a journey to improve her well-being. Through her research, she uncovered the 28 human needs that promote work prosperity and tranquility, including autonomy, passion, purpose, and belonging. Kelly’s study also helped her realize that what stimulates one person may not invigorate another. To help individuals understand their own human needs, Kelly’s team designed an online assessment that generates an individual’s top-five motives that drive them to flourish in the workplace.

In this episode of The Cyber Business Podcast, Matthew Connor sits down with Kelly Mackin, Co-founder and CEO of Motives Met, to discuss workplace well-being. Kelly discusses Motives Met and its mission, the 28 human needs that drive workplace well-being, and how to personalize the work culture for employee satisfaction. Additionally, Kelly provides a sneak peek at her upcoming book, Work Life Well-Lived, which will be released in April 2024.
